The 2012 American League Champions are engaging in discussions with their World Series opponents to talk a bullpen piece, and as the title of the article suggests, it’s LHP Javier Lopez:
Even after making 2 big trades last 2 days, Tigers may not be done. Still talking to Giants about LH Javier Lopez.

Against 71 batters in 2013, Lopez is .167/.232/.234 with a .213 wOBA against LHH. That would be very useful for a contending team, and we remember how the lack of bullpen depth ended up hurting the Tigers in the last World Series. The Giants have been rumored to want a major-league ready pitcher, but might they lighten up on that stance for a prospect with a 2014 estimated time of arrival?
