Jeremy Affeldt Leaves Game With Groin Strain

It seems the injury bug has returned to the San Francisco Giants dugout. Tonight’s victim is Jeremy Affeldt who left the game in the 6th inning with a left groin strain, according to the SF Giants official twitter feed.

He seemed to injury himself sneezing, picking up his son, grilling hamburgers, eh, just pitching.

While this injury seemed pretty straightforward, Affeldt has a knack for injuring himself in weird ways. A strain during a normal pitching sequence just seems too boring for Affeldt.

Let’s hope it’s just a mild strain and he can get back in the bullpen quickly. We of course will update you once more is known of the seriousness of Affeldt’s injury.
