Postseason Payout: San Francisco Giants

Besides pride and the love of the game, there is another reason to want to make it to the playoffs: extra money.

In order to calculate the player’s pool of postseason winnin, you take 50 percent of the gate receipts from the Wild Card games; 60 percent of the gate receipts from the first three games of the Division Series; 60 percent of the gate receipts from the first four games of the League Championship Series; and 60 percent of the gate receipts from the first four games of the World Series. Everybody benefits.

The San Francisco Giants share of the $65,363,469.22 was $23,530,848.92.

They handed out 50 full shares, 11.10 partial shares and 12 additional cash awards. The full shares were worth $377,002.64.
