Nail in coffin. Giants took the lead in the NL West by 0.5 games after beating Los Angeles 2-1 in another pitching battle where Clayton Kershaw gave up 2 ER to the Giants and Madison Bumgarner pitched 8 scoreless innings. The Giants would lead the NL West for the rest of the season.
