San Francicso Giants’ Matt Cain Destroys Objects In Mid-Air With Fastball On MythBusters

Unless you’re living under a rock, you’ve probably watched Mythbusters on the Discovery channel – a television show hosted by special effects experts Adam Savage and Jamie Hyneman (among others) who, well, test myths – big and small.

The show, which is filmed in the San Francisco area, had San Francisco Giants pitcher Matt Cain stop by to do some filming a few months back and while the episode has yet to air, Tory Belleci, a host on the show uploaded a viral video of Cain doing some damage with his fastball.

In the piece, the Giants’ ace hits moving targets mid-air that range from a deep dish pizza to a watermelon to a pinata. The cheeseball overreactions from the hosts tend to make you question the authenticity of the video – is it a promo for Patxi’s Pizza (who Cain does commercials for) or the Mythbusters show? Or is it legit? We may never know, but either way, it’s pretty bad ass – fake or not.
