Runzler, who last pitched for the Giants in 2011 is set to make his return from a series of injuries which forced him to work through a handful of minor league assignments this year.
The Revrun struggled at times, posting a 6.00 ERA between Single-A San Jose and AAA Fresno in a combined 30+ innings as he built up strength in attempts to return to the big boys.
Runzler holds a career 4.06 MLB ERA in 68.2 innings, his best season coming in 2010 when the lefty posted a 3.03 ERA in 32.2 innings.
