Thoughts: This looks like a pretty grueling month, with the next day off for the Giants not until August 16th. Luckily for the Giants, this is the last time in the regular season they’ll be traveling further away from home than Colorado with series in St. Louis, Houston, and Chicago. Not until near the middle of August will we hopefully get to see a healthy lineup that includes a core of Melky Cabrera, Pablo Sandoval, Hunter Pence, and Buster Posey, which will hopefully be a lot of fun to watch. Games against the Mets, Rockies, Padres, Astros, and a series beginning against the Cubs should make this a winning month for the Giants assuming full health and maintaining the ability to play baseball. Keep an eye out for the waiver wire additions Brian Sabean makes, among the names you might remember from August additions are guys like Cody Ross and Scott Eyre.
