Giants’ Freddy Sanchez Out For Season After Surgery – Also, World Is Round

In shocking news, the Giants finally put an end to Freddy Sanchez’s season this afternoon after the second basemen underwent back surgery this morning. The doctors removed part of a disc (micro discectomy) and all was deemed successful – though recovery time is usually at least six weeks, so, it’ll be a lot of sitting around the house and rehab for the Giants’ infielder.

No word on what type of glue Sanchez was turned into.
