Coming into the Spring, reports were that Freddy Sanchez most likely wouldn’t be ready for Opening Day. However, according to Freddy himself, he’ll certainly be in the lineup:
Freddy Sanchez says “oh, definitely” he will be ready for opening day. Hitting no problem. No timetable to begin throwing to bases, though.
F Sanchez feels he’s way ahead of schedule. Was throwing 3 days a week with some discomfort. Now 5 days a week with no problem.
No word on if Sanchez’s off-season training regiment included that of installing a bionic arm, but if so – get an elbow piece for Brian Wilson.
Hopefully Dave Groeschner and company stocked up on WD-40 and inflatable human sized bubbles.
