Bochy Confirms Giants Outfield Set – Beltran Will Not Return

As soon as Angel Pagan was traded to the San Francisco Giants last night, the writing was on the wall – Carlos Beltran would not be a Giant in 2012 and now we have confirmation, all be it subtle, from the skipper himself.

Torres trade official. Bochy says Giants set in outfield. Means Beltran, Ross chances of return are dead.

That means the Giants starting outfield will consist of Melky Cabrera, Angel Pagan and either Nate Schierholtz, or Aubrey Huff. If you’re wondering why I didn’t mention Brandon Belt, it’s because AS OF NOW Bochy wanst Belt at first…

Pertaining to the outfield, the battery acid is on aisle 18 if you need it. I highly suggest mixing it with cherry koolaid – not nearly as slimy going down.

But if you’re a glass half full type, I guess you can say it’s better than last year’s opening day outfield of Pat Burrell, Andres Torres and Aubrey Huff – or any of the other zookeeper rotations Bochy tossed out there until the Beltran arrival. Then again, most Bay Area little league teams could have matched their output – so, not that difficult to improve something already worse than terrible.
