The ring ceremony isn’t that far away – but we’re still in the dark as to what the actual ring will look like. Little information has come out about the ring, outside of the fact that it was being produced by the world famous Tiffany’s & Co.
NBC Bay Area was the first to pick up on the prototype back in January – but that was nothing more than a proposed idea that team officials were set to review. In short, if they didn’t like it – back to the drawing board.
Here is what that prototype looked like:
So we move forward to present day. Frankiecgsw from MCC pointed out an interesting giveaway that the Giants will be handing out during the ring ceremony:
It looks to be a “replica” key-chain of a particular San Francisco Giants World Series ring. Now, granted – it’s plastic – and has no color to it (at least, I don’t think so) – so take the appearance with a grain of salt. And by no stretch of the imagination is this confirmed as to what the Giants World Series ring will look like, but, if it is – it’s a tad disappointing. Granted, the diamonds will certainly spice it up but the face of the ring looks extremely…..plain. I love what appears to be the Golden Gate on the side of the ring however.
